Team Eagle Ltd., with its global headquarters located in Campbellford, Ont., and offices across the United States, is pleased to announce the launch of its latest aviation application – Eagle SNAP.

SNAP, short for “SNOWTAM Application” is now available on the App Store, free of charge, and is designed to assist Canadian airport operators to report critical winter runway surface conditions quickly and easily.

“We created Eagle SNAP as a way to give our Canadian airports an easy to use, free application that allows for consistent reporting of surface conditions. Instant report transmission to the NAV CANADA website from an iPad will allow critical runway surface condition information to be easily shared with pilots, air carriers and aviation stakeholders,” says Team Eagle software development manager, Tiina Maripuu. “Eagle SNAP follows a defined series of questions and allows operators to add comments and quantify surface conditions, based on the script created by NAV CANADA. We have built various applications that include this script in the past, but this is our first in a mobile “App” format. We are very excited to share this with our Canadian airports, and will have the iPhone version out later this fall.”

Eagle SNAP is also part of Team Eagle’s WinterOps Pro Runway Surface Condition Reporting and Maintenance Application, designed to enhance winter maintenance tasking and tracking, including the tasking and management of both airfield chemical application and airfield snow equipment coordination.

“NAV CANADA welcomes the development of enhanced features and deployment methods, such as Eagle SNAP, for runway surface condition reporting,” says Olivier Meier, NAV CANADA Manager, AIM Projects and Programs. “Eagle SNAP provides airports with another effective option that takes what we have built for computer desktop usage and transforms it into a mobile application for iPhones and iPads.”

“We are pleased to launch Eagle SNAP at SWIFT 2013,” says Paul Cudmore, Team Eagle COO. “SWIFT (Summer Winter Integrated Field Technologies) is a premier airfield management conference and there is no better place to share our latest product offering with Canadian airports, especially as winter approaches and airports get ready to manage critical airfield processes.”
