Federal Express’ first Boeing 767-3S2F freighter visited Toronto on Oct. 7, as part of a tour designed to familiarize employees with the new aircraft type while developing crew proficiency prior to entry into revenue service. The aircraft was delivered to FedEx on Sept. 4 as part of the operator’s fleet modernization strategy, and it will join new 777-200F freighters in the FedEx fleet. The 767s will be used to replace older MD-10 converted passenger tri-jets, and will be implemented on FedEx Express’s domestic/continental route network.
