STARS air ambulance will unveil the Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation’s logo on the helicopter on Friday, Oct.11 at the Edmonton base. This logo unveiling will recognize the organization’s commitment of more than $549,000 to STARS. The logo will be revealed on the helicopter’s tailfin, a place reserved for donors who have pledged $500,000 or more to the organization.
The Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation has been a dedicated supporter of STARS since 1996. During this time, they have committed more than $193,000 to general operations and mission-related expenses, $183,000 in support of the STARS Building Magic in the Air Gala and $5,000 to the human patient simulator program. They have also donated more than $167,000 toward the purchase of two helicopters.
“There is a sense of comfort for the members of Building Trades of Alberta in knowing that in their dangerous line of work, or in a time of severe crisis, STARS will be there to help,” said Warren Fraleigh, executive director of the foundation. “STARS is a critical element of the emergency response network for all Albertans and the Building Trades members are committed to ensuring they have a long and successful future.”
Andrea Robertson, president and CEO of STARS, said the organization’s support will help save lives.
