Avmax announced its engineering division has created ADS-B Out solutions for Dash 8 and CRJ aircraft.
The solutions are Part 25 supplemental type certificates (STCs) for Dash 8-100/200/300 and CRJ 100/200/700/900.
Both aircraft types are approved by Transport Canada Civil Aviation Administration (TCCA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval pending.

Bombardier recommends the Avmax CRJ 100/200 solution through the all operator message (AOM) 919 and 1541: “Avmax has a solid reputation in offering packaged STCs for many aircraft platforms.”
AOM 919 and 1541 goes on to say, “Bombardier recommends that Operators who wish to implement a simplified ADS-B solution, to contact Avmax for pricing and lead-time information.”

Many regulating agencies have or will have an ADS-B Out requirement by the year 2020.
The STC is centered on the existing Rockwell Collins avionics architecture. For the ADS-B Out solution, Avmax can supply the engineering, parts, modification kit and complete the install.

Avmax’s engineering division is a Transport Canada authorized design approval organization. Last year, the company said, it issued more TCCA Dash 8 STCs than all other Canadian Dash 8 STC holders combined.
