Bombardier looks forward to its arrival at the 49th edition of the Farnborough International Airshow where it will showcase its iconic and sustainable aircraft and share the latest progress on its new programs with customers, suppliers, government officials and media representatives.
Reflecting the important role the Farnborough Airshow fulfills within the aviation industry, six of Bombardier’s industry-leading aircraft will be on static display. They include the Learjet 75, the Challenger 350, the Challenger 605 and the Global 6000 business jets, as well as the Q400 NextGen turboprop and CRJ900 NextGen regional jet.
In addition, guests will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the future of commercial flight by visiting the Commercial Aircraft Hospitality Lounge, which will house the mock-up of the CSeries airliner’s flight deck and cabin demonstrator. The Global 7000 aircraft mock-up, the largest mock-up built in business aviation, will be open for private viewings during the show at the TAG Farnborough fixed-based operator (FBO) hangar.
Aircraft on static display
Learjet 75 aircraft: With a maximum range greater than 2,000 nautical miles at cruise speeds up to Mach 0.81, the Learjet 75 aircraft will be able to fly four passengers and two crew members non-stop from Los Angeles to Toronto and Mumbai to Bangkok. Additionally, it will be able to handle a range close to 1,950 nautical miles with eight passengers.
Challenger 350 aircraft: The Challenger 350 jet boasts class-defining performance, a true seats full, tanks full, 3,200 nm (5,926 km) range and will connect Paris with Lagos. Building upon the legendary segment defining Challenger 300 jet, it features a state-of-the-art cabin that maximizes natural light and redefines the man-machine interface, all the while maintaining the performance attributes that have become synonymous with the Challenger aircraft family.
Global 6000 aircraft: The Global 6000 jet’s large cabin size and levels of comfort combined with an optional stand-up shower and the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck means it offers a perfect blend of high-speed, range capability and traveler comfort. Offering the latest in technology, this intrepid jet can link Paris with Tokyo, non-stop, with eight passengers and three to four crew.
Q400 NextGen aircraft: Optimized for short-haul operations and seating up to 86 passengers, the aircraft is a large, fast, quiet and fuel-efficient turboprop that provides the perfect balance of passenger comfort, performance and operational flexibility with the lowest seat-mile costs in the short-haul regional market. With the flexibility to fly at both turboprop and jet-like speeds, the Q400 NextGen aircraft can be profitably deployed over short-range turboprop missions and in medium-haul jet markets. Now available in optional dual class, extra capacity and passenger-cargo combi configurations, the Q400 NextGen aircraft’s versatility positions it to again reshape the turboprop market through profitable growth.
CRJ900 NextGen aircraft: As the world’s most successful family of regional aircraft, a CRJ regional jet departs every 10 seconds, linking people and communities together. Optimized for medium-haul regional routes, CRJ NextGen aircraft deliver best-in-class economics and set the benchmark for lowest fuel burn and operating costs. Designed for hub expansion and point-to-point services, the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft can seat up to 90 passengers or be configured with 76 seats in a typical North American layout, featuring extra legroom and comfort. Now delivering up to 5.5 per cent lower fuel burn compared to earlier-generation CRJ900 aircraft, the CRJ900 NextGen aircraft is the perfect tool for operators to develop new markets and increase frequencies.
