FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. is pleased to announce the sale and shipment of five of its recently released Dragon products to DAC Aviation International Ltee./DAC Aviation (EA) Ltd. (“DAC”).
The Dragon is a revolutionary, lightweight, portable satellite communications device that blends existing FLYHT technology with that of the iPad. DAC plans to deploy the Dragon immediately on five Cessna Caravan Aircraft to provide voice and data services in support of their humanitarian missions in Africa.
Alain Desrochers, president of DAC stated, “The Dragon is the ideal solution for our challenging theatre of operations. DAC maintains very high standards for safety and operational control and the Dragon’s voice capability and iPad interface for text messaging set it apart from other basic tracking systems.”
Bill Tempany, president and CEO of FLYHT stated: “We are very excited to support DAC’s growing operation in Africa. The fact that the Dragon requires no Supplemental Type Certificate allows DAC to begin operational use of the Dragon immediately. The Dragon is perfect for the light aircraft and helicopter market that requires a voice, tracking and text solution, similar to the air transport market, though does not require installation.”
If DAC utilizes the full suite of services on all contracted Dragons for the full term of the agreement, gross revenue to FLYHT will be approximately $95,000 USD.
