February 23 marked the sixth annual National Aviation Day in Canada.
To celebrate the occasion, the Government of Canada launched a call for applications for the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) – Transport Canada Civil Aviation Internship Program, and announced an exciting new aviation photo contest.
The internship program is a paid, two-month summer work term at Transport Canada headquarters in Ottawa. It is open to students interested in aviation, who are currently enrolled in grades 11 and 12, Secondary V or the first year of CEGEP.
To participate in the photo contest, send your aviation-themed photos to the email address on the Transport Canada National Aviation Day website: http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/civilaviation/opssvs/secretariat-2086.html.
Entries will be added to the Transport Canada Flickr page. The winning photo(s) will be unveiled on social media and displayed at Transport Canada headquarters in Ottawa.
