Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (Star) and KF Aerospace (formerly Kelowna Flightcraft Ltd.) (KF) have announced the appointment of KF as Canadian distributor of Star’s STAR-A.D.S. in-flight safety monitoring system.
KF will be promoting the STAR-A.D.S. system and after-sales services to its customers and prospect base, while Star will provide value-added services.
“We are very pleased to expand our long-standing relationship with one of the top aviation service providers in Canada,” said Viraf Kapadia, Star’s CEO. “Together with KF, this agreement will allow us to bring our newest technologies and services to a large base of customers and operators.”
The STAR-A.D.S. system provides solutions to the needs of all operators, whether they are passenger airlines, business aircraft, commercial or cargo transporters. Ideally suited for the retrofit market, STAR-A.D.S.  brings direct access to analyzed flight information, in real-time, for use by all departments, from operations and maintenance to finance, and provides tangible and measurable direct return on investment.
The STAR-A.D.S. system already complies with all current relevant air transport regulations and with the expected worldwide tracking recommendations from the National Transportation Safety Board, Federal Aviation Administration, and International Civil Aviation Organization. These new recommendations are the result of extensive industry consultations following the losses of Air France Flight 447 and Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Star contributed its expertise to this consultation process.
