Latitude Technologies, the premier global supplier of flight data management, flight following, and Satcom solutions for regional fleet operators, has announced that Latitude’s IONode ION4 lightweight flight data recorder and the SkyNode S200 voice and data transceiver have been selected by Viking Air Limited for OEM installation on Viking’s Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft. The first IONode ION4 and SkyNode S200 installations by Viking have already been completed and Latitude’s equipment is now in service in Southeast Asia, Africa, and North America.
Latitude president, Mark Insley, expressed his appreciation at Latitude’s achievement of this significant milestone. “I am particularly pleased that our first OEM supply arrangement is with Latitude’s good friend and Victoria neighbor, Viking Air Limited.” Latitude senior account manager, David Thomas, who heads up the Viking relationship for Latitude added, “Viking is a world-class operation with a vision for the aviation market that coincides with our own. We look forward to working with Viking for many years, putting our robust FDM, AFF, and Satcom systems into the hardest working aircraft on earth.”
