Mecaer Aviation Group, Inc. has announced it has signed with a United States-based customer to take delivery of a Bell 429 MAGnificent interior. The signing is the first for a North American operator under Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) flight rules.
The announcement follows a recent validation with the FAA. The luxury interior for the Bell 429, branded as the “MAGnificent” has supplemental type certificate (STC) validation with the European Aviation Safety Agency, Russia, Brazil, Canada and most recently the United States. Future validations will be performed based on customer demand.
MAG will produce the interior at its facility in Monteprandone, Italy, and perform the installation at its Northeast Philadelphia location later this year. The configuration will consist of interchangeable four, five and six seats along with two centre consoles.
The MAGnificent will also have electro-chromic windows and MAG’s SILENS technology allowing passengers to fly in comfort without the use of headsets. Other modifications will be made to the helicopter while it is at MAG’s facility.
“Following the STC with the FAA, this signing marks yet another monumental achievement for the MAGnificent program,” said Armando Sassoli, co-general manager of Mecaer Aviation Group. “We are extremely honoured to have this opportunity to showcase our capabilities and Italian style in the U.S.”
