The National Airlines Council of Canada (NACC) was encouraged by an announcement from Maxime Bernier, Minister of State for Small Business and Tourism on the positive performance of Canada’s tourism industry over the summer season.
“Air travel is a key enabler of the travel and tourism economy and today’s announcement is good news for Canada and hopefully something we can build on,” said National Airlines Council of Canada executive director Marc-André O’Rourke.
“We need to promote innovative public policy aimed at improving Canada’s competitiveness in order to keep the momentum going and to ensure Canada’s place as a leading player in the global travel and tourism market,” added O’Rourke.
The NACC and its member airlines are committed to working with government to foster a policy environment that improves the Canadian aviation sector’s cost-competitiveness and makes it easier to visit, travel and do business in Canada.
