Quebec Aviators and Bush Pilots receives 2014 Aviation Safety Award

Transport Canada proudly celebrated air transportation safety in Canada by announcing the winner of the 2014 Aviation Safety Award. This year, the award was presented to Aviateurs et pilotes de brousse du Québec (Quebec Aviators and Bush Pilots). 
Aviateurs et pilotes de brousse du Québec (Quebec Aviators and Bush Pilots) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission of bringing together Quebec aviators in order to promote recreational aviation and bush flying, as well as safety and accessibility and provide assistance, training and information resources to members. 
The Transport Canada Aviation Safety Award was established to recognize persons, groups, companies, organizations, agencies or departments that have made an exceptional contribution to aviation safety in Canada.
Aviateurs et pilotes de brousse du Québec (Quebec Aviators and Bush Pilots).was founded in Montreal in 1979 and has close to 1,700 members, primarily in Quebec but also in other areas of Canada and around the world. 
“I am pleased to present this award to Aviateurs et pilotes de brousse du Québec, an organization which has made such a significant contribution to promoting recreational aviation safety and bush flying in Quebec and across Canada,” said The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport.
