The Royal Canadian Air Force celebrated its 90th anniversary on Sept. 6 with a fly past over Quebec City, followed by a ball held at the fabled Chateau Frontenac. The fly past included a Fleet 16B Finch MKII and P-51 Mustang from Vintage Wings of Canada, a four ship of CF-18 Hornets from 425 Squadron in Bagotville, Que., and the Snowbirds, which performed several passes and a Maple Split. Thousands of people flocked to both sides of the St. Lawrence River to see the spectacle, and the weather cleared up just an hour before the fly past began. The beautiful sights of Quebec City provided an incredible backdrop to the celebration of the RCAF’s 90th anniversary celebration.
