Canada’s single source web portal for all things related to flying safely has just launched a contest to promote general aviation safety and at the same time help some lucky winners be prepared for a “bad day”.
The “Be Ready” contest is a chance to review a recently developed and launched safety video and then enter on-line for the chance to win, by random draw, one of four prizes. Each prize is an emergency safety related item.
The Grand Prize is a full Crashkit 4:7 Survival Kit and ACR RESQLINK 406 PLB with GPS. Second Prize is a Crashkit 4:7 Survival Kit, Third Prize is a Crashkit “Charlie” Personal Aviation Kit and Fourth Prize is a Crashkit “Bravo” Personal Aviation Survival Kit. Crash Kit International Corporation is providing the kits – a Canadian company in the business of helping pilots and passenger survive a “bad day” since 2004.
The contest is free to enter – as is the entire SmartPilot.ca site – and
entrants can submit up to 15 times (plus bonus entries). Simply click
on the following link – www.smartpilot.ca/contest – and be
directed to the contest landing page. There are 15 new videos posted to review, selected from the over 40 produced in the last year. Subjects range from Float Plane Operations through to Upset Training, VFR into IMC and Winter Operations.
The contest runs from now until Dec. 22, 2014 and is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding residents of Quebec) or void where prohibited or restricted by law. Full rules are posted through the contest web link.
