StandardAero announced that it has signed an exclusive, two-year maintenance agreement with Air Nostrum for 31 auxiliary power units (APUs). The APUs are manufactured by Honeywell – Model RE220RJ.
“Today’s announcement is another strategic win for StandardAero and reflects our growing awareness in the European marketplace among regional air carriers,” said Rob Cords, Senior Vice President, Airlines & Fleets, StandardAero. “Our position as one of the largest independent maintenance, repair and overhaul companies in the world and the array of services we provide across a broad range of aviation verticals, allows us to compete more aggressively and with more flexibility than most other service providers.  Being chosen by one of Europe’s largest CRJ operators underscores this and reflects our expanding footprint throughout the region.”
All work will be performed in the U.S. at StandardAero’s Maryville, Tenn., facility.  Air Nostrum is an independent regional airline based in Valencia, Spain.
