The management team of Fly-n-Sense of Bordeaux, France is pleased to announce that the departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS) of Landes, France is acquiring a new STaFF solution, thus completing the Fly-n- Sense’s Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) existing and operating equipment.
This latest generation of STaFF solution incorporates the new UAS versions (multirotor and fixed wing aircrafts) equipped with embedded systems and specific software developed by the Gironde society to fight forest fires, capitalising the field training acquired since the beginning of the STaFF program in 2011.
Following the signature of the trade agreement with the Unmanned Aerial System Centre of Excellence of Québec at the Bourget Air Show in 2013, Fly-n-Sense will increase their presence in Quebec and are announcing their establishment at the UAS Centre of Excellence in 2014.
Their presence on Canadian soil constitutes a genuine asset of development for Fly-n-Sense overseas. Obtaining the permission to fly on North-American ground and the establishment of an operational STaFF team of Quebec firefighters were the first phases of the implementation for the start-up pilot operations.
