Bombardier recently unveiled a full sized cabin mock-up of its new Challenger 650 aircraft at the 2014 National Business Aviation Association convention in Orlando, Fla. The mock-up gave show attendees the opportunity to experience the new business jet, which will boast the widest cabin in its class.

A replacement for Bombardier’s Challenger 605, the Challenger 650 borrows features from both the newly released Challenger 350 and the Global 5000 and 6000 aircraft. The aircraft will accommodate up to 12 passengers, while offering the pilot a luxury cockpit equipped with new, state-of-the-art technology. The new Challenger 650 will also deliver a 7,408 kilometre (4,000 nautical mile) range.

“When you look at the Bombardier lineup, from Learjets, to Challengers, to Globals—this is really the first aircraft that you would consider to be a transcontinental airplane,” Brad Nolen, Bombardier’s director of product strategy and market development, told Skies.

In the above video, Nolen takes Skies inside the mock-up to discuss the new features of the Challenger 650 cabin and cockpit.
