WestJet Encore has launches twice-daily service between Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, Ont. and four-times-daily service between Thunder Bay and Toronto. These new routes connect established service in Western Canada with WestJet Encore’s first two eastern destinations, while taking one step further to making the regional carrier’s network a truly national endeavour.
“Connectivity, accessibility and choice are three key elements that are driving our growth,” said Ferio Pugliese, president, WestJet Encore. “Thanks to the efforts of all the WestJetters involved in building WestJet Encore, and the many guests who have supported our growth over the past year, we have added service to new bases, and improved service in current bases. The arrival of WestJet Encore has lowered the cost of air travel in these communities. Guests originating in Thunder Bay or Winnipeg will now have greater access to more than 40 destinations and up to 700 connections per week through Toronto’s Pearson International airport.”
The growing number of regional destinations capably served by the speed, comfort and range of the growing fleet of WestJet Encore’s 13 Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft has allowed for significant expansion in the first year. To book, visit westjet.com.
