During the winter travel season, Canadian charter operator Sunwing Airlines leases a good number of Boeing 737-800s from European operators, to bolster its own fleet of that type. Most of these aircraft retain their original operator’s colour scheme, and have an orange Sunwing tail and titles applied for the season. Here, B737-8K5W, C-FRZG, leased for the season from the UK Thomsonfly/Thomson Airways (normally registered G-FDZG), has had the Sunwing markings applied over its light blue ‘tui’ colour scheme, and also has decals applied promoting Oasis Hotels and Resorts in Mexico. It is seen blasting off from Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport, CYYZ, on Jan. 2, 2012. Andy Cline Photo
