Embraer Executive Jets has announced that Aurora Jet Partners of Edmonton, Alta., is its newest Authorized Sales Representative (ASR) and Authorized Service Centre (ASC). Aurora will be Canada’s exclusive sales centre for Embraer’s seven-aircraft line of business jets, including the Phenom 100, 300 and the Legacy line. The fractional ownership company was the first Canadian customer for both the Phenom 100 and 300, and today operates three Embraer jets with another Phenom 300 on the way.

“We are very, very pleased to announce today the signing of an authorized sales centre agreement with Aurora Jet Partners,” Robert Knebel, vice-president of executive aircraft sales for Embraer Executive Aircraft, told Canadian Skies at NBAA 2012, where the announcement was made. “We’ve gotten to know the principals of the organization quite well over the last years. They really do have a national presence. We think that they will be superb marketers and we couldn’t be happier about this new relationship.”

Aurora also joins Starlink Aviation of Montreal as the second Canadian authorized service centre for Embraer executive jets. In addition to its head office in Edmonton, Aurora has locations in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.

“As our first Canadian operator, Aurora came to know and like the Phenom’s attributes, and they can speak with credibility about how the aircraft perform,” said Cameron Gowans, regional sales manager for Embraer Executive Aircraft. “Not only will they be a sales representative, but they are also a customer and operator of the aircraft.”

Bill McGoey, president of Aurora Jet Partners, said his company’s experience with the Phenom line has “confirmed our confidence in Embraer Executive Jets as a solid partner in our success.”

Knebel expects future sales to be solid in Canada. “We see all of our models being popular in Canada. Already, the interest in Phenom 100s has been very high; in fact, it’s been predominant in terms of aircraft deliveries in its class since it was first certified. Similarly, the 300 achieved Canadian certification this past summer and has already proven very successful. Already we have several orders. We expect that to continue at a very steady rate.”

He added that the sheer distances that must be covered in Canada suggest that the Legacy 500 and 650 models will be quite popular as well.
