Estimated reading time 3 minutes, 43 seconds.

Canadian Skies, Canada’s largest and most-read aviation industry magazine, will be releasing the second annual edition of RCAF Today at the CANSEC show in Ottawa, Ont., May 29-30, 2013. CANSEC is Canada’s leading defence and technology showcase, attracting more than 10,000 delegates each year.
RCAF Today delivers exclusive stories about Canada’s air force and its people, missions and aircraft. Officially endorsed by the RCAF, this special edition magazine is packed with the stunning photography and quality detailing that is the hallmark of Canadian Skies. This year’s editorial lineup includes an exclusive interview with the Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, Lieutenant-General Yvan Blondin. We also pay homage to two long-serving RCAF aircraft: the CH-124 Sea King (50 years) and the CF-188 Hornet (31 years); check in with the Air Cadet League of Canada; and visit the new Air Mobility Training Centre at CFB Trenton. As well, readers will learn about six different Air Force trades, though our Day in the Life people profiles. And that’s not all! We’re packing even more great RCAF coverage into the 2013 edition of RCAF Today. Stop by the MHM Publishing booth at CANSEC to pick up your free copy of the magazine, enter our special draw, and meet the publishing team.
If you miss the magazine at CANSEC, look for it at these defence-related trade shows: Abbotsford Aerospace & Defence Expo (Aug. 8-9); DEFSEC Atlantic (Sept. 4-6); and SecureTech (Oct. 29-30). All together, RCAF Today will be distributed at four major 2013 trade shows, with a combined expected attendance of 13,000. The publication will also be direct mailed to an RCAF-supplied list of key decision-makers at DND Headquarters, as well as targeted procurement officers, base officials, foreign embassies and attachés.
The inaugural 2012 edition of RCAF Today, produced by the team at Canadian Skies in collaboration with the RCAF, proved to be a resounding success. A large shipment of copies brought to CANSEC 2012 disappeared on the first day of the show.
RCAF Today exceeded our expectations last year, said Mike Reyno, publisher. This year, we’ve joined forces with the RCAF to deliver an editorial lineup that highlights the accomplishments of our Air Force, of which we can all be proud.
Launched in September 2011, Canadian Skies has quickly risen to the top of the Canadian aviation publishing industry, with an audience of 33,000+ readers. For more information about the publication, to read the latest issue, or to brush up on aviation news, visit skiesmag.com
