The union representing pilots at Exploits Valley Air Services (EVAS) said the pilots have served a 72-hour strike notice and will begin striking Tuesday at 12:01 a.m. if they don’t reach a settlement.

Unifor said pilots at the Gander, N.L.-based charter, air ambulance, cargo, leasing and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, served the strike notice on the evening of Oct. 18.

Union members include 18 captains and first officers represented by Unifor Local 2002, per a media release.

“The members are seeking improvements on wages, working conditions, work-life balance, and contracting language,” the union said in a statement.

EVAS operates a fleet of Beechcraft 1900D, de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, and Embraer Phenom 100, according to its website.
