The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) said it is deploying a team of investigators after a small private aircraft crashed at Peace River Airport, about 480 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.

Alberta RCMP are also investigating the incident. The incident happened just before 5 p.m. local time on Sept. 3, local media reported.

It’s believed two people were onboard when the plane crash, according to CityNews. There’s no word if occupants of the plane suffered injuries.

This was the second plane crash in Alberta in less than 72 hours. A pilot died after a plane crashed in a field near Fort Vermillion at around 8 p.m. on Aug. 31.

The Aug. 31 incident also knocked out power to the down and several rural areas for more than 12 hours, per the Grande Prairie Daily Herald Tribune.
