Albatross Aircraft Detailing Inc. specializes in aircraft grooming and cleaning services for commercial and business aviation. At the beginning of the pandemic crisis Albatross wanted to find a way to help the community and has done so by starting the production of hand sanitizer. The company submitted an application for the “Call to Action” initiative, which was launched by the Government of Canada in response to COVID-19. Knowing that it had enough experience working with chemicals, and capability to produce hand sanitizer that is in critical need to the public, Albatross decided to submit an application for a license, and very soon it was approved by Health Canada to produce hand sanitizer.
Along with the regular packaging of hand sanitizer in spray bottles, Albatross started manufacturing hand sanitizer in a special format for airlines — in small, three millilitre sachets for single use that are convenient for use on board of aircraft, and could be easily supplied to every boarded passenger.
The hand sanitizer sachets that the company makes are also convenient for use in hospitals for patients who cannot freely access the fixed location of the dispensers with hand sanitizer, as the sachets can be brought to them instead.
Great idea. You are the perfect example of the old saying: “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
