Flair Airlines ended 2024 on a high note, achieving a 98.7 percent flight completion rate.
WestJet followed at 97.4 percent, Porter Airlines at 97.3 percent, and Air Canada at 96.5 percent, said Flair.
“We’re proud to have achieved the highest completion factor in December in Canada at 98.7 percent during the peak holiday season,” said Maciej Wilk, interim CEO at Flair. “The winter holiday season is notoriously difficult for all air carriers, yet we delivered one of our best performances in years.”
Flair’s completion rate ensured that more Canadians reached their desired destinations for family gatherings, vacations, and getaways than with any other airline in Canada. Flair transported 356,967 passengers in December, creating countless opportunities for cherished memories.
Flair’s December on-time performance (OTP) was 60.3 percent, with 90 percent of Flair flights arrived within 60 minutes of their scheduled time. This aligns with Flair’s recently launched On-Time Guarantee promise.
“Despite the challenges posed by the harsh Canadian winter, our commitment to reliability ensured that we kept delays minimal and upheld our OTG promise,” added Wilk.
Flair’s OTP for December placed it in the middle of the pack, with Air Canada at 62.9 percent, WestJet at 66.9 percent, and Porter at 56.4 percent, Flair said. Despite the weather conditions, Flair maintained its competitive stance and delivered on its promise of reliability.
Additionally, Flair continues to lead in sustainable aviation, with a CO2 emission rate of 89.56 grams per revenue passenger mile (g/RPM). Flair flew at 87.3 percent Load Factor, delivering 356,967 passengers on their holiday journeys.
