Estimated reading time 3 minutes, 31 seconds.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) have released a fully updated, wide-ranging Business Aviation Fact Book, laying out a broad overview of the industry’s benefits to citizens, companies and communities everywhere.

The 33-page publication is downloadable as a PDF, and print copies will be freely available at the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), taking place Oct. 12-14 in Las Vegas, NV.

A shareable resource designed for professionals and advocates as well as newcomers, the public and civic leaders, the Fact Book is a publication of the No Plane No Gain advocacy campaign.

Presented in part though user-friendly infographics, charts, tables, photos and real-world stories, the Fact Book brings to life the competitive gains for companies and organizations using business aircraft; the industry’s role in supporting 1 million jobs and driving more than $200 million in economic activity each year; the connectivity lifeline business aviation provides to communities across America; and the sector’s role in providing critical lift for worthy humanitarian endeavors.

This year’s edition of the Fact Book also highlights the emphasis business aviation has long had on sustainability through the continued advancement of products, procedures and policies. Over the past four decades, business aviation has achieved a 40% reduction in carbon emissions with these innovations.

“In vivid, well-researched detail, this new edition of the Business Aviation Fact Book highlights the central role of business aviation in America’s economy and transportation system, and the industry’s successful work to operate in a safe, secure and sustainable manner,” said NBAA Senior Vice President for Communications Dan Hubbard.

“This latest Business Aviation Fact Book provides an in depth look into the significant impact that the industry has on economic opportunity and growth. It also illustrates our commitment to environmental responsibility and gives a glimpse of the new and emerging technologies of the industry,” said GAMA Director of Communications Andre Castro.

Long a popular NBAA and GAMA resource, the Fact Book has been fully updated with the latest data from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), state economic studies, industry surveys and other respected sources.

A social media conversation to highlight data from the Fact Book is planned, and participation from anyone in industry is welcome by using the hashtag #BizAvWorks.
