Skies Magazine, Canada’s premier fixed-wing aviation publication, has unveiled a completely new look for

The newly launched website offers a sleek and modern design that enhances the user experience, with seamless viewing on mobile devices. The update includes a simplified navigation bar; improved categorization for quicker access to news, features, and press releases; and more prominence for Skies’ multi-media assets, including video, photography, digital wallpapers, and desktop calendars.

“We’re thrilled with how the new website turned out,” said Skies publisher Mike Reyno. “With the new, simplified design, everything is easily accessible from any device — whether you’re looking for news headlines, the latest issues, or new videos from the Skies YouTube channel.”

Along with the launch of the new website, Skies has unveiled an updated look for its Skies Daily e-newsletter, which delivers the latest industry headlines to over 50,000 subscribers every weekday.

The unveiling of the new and Skies Daily e-newsletter follow the launch of a new design for Skies’ digital magazine, which debuted earlier this year with the February/March issue. The redesign saw a return to a classic flipbook format — reminiscent of Skies’ pre-pandemic archives — but with a fresh, updated look.

Similar to the approach with the website, the digital magazine is specially optimized for mobile devices. It offers readers a traditional magazine experience in an easy-to-read format on a phone, tablet, or desktop computer.

“With roughly 70 percent of our web traffic coming from mobile devices, we wanted to improve the mobile viewing experience for our readers while also creating a more modern, clean look — for the magazine, the website, and the newsletter,” said Reyno.

“We hope our readers enjoy the new designs, and we welcome any feedback they may have.”
