Air Canada has revised its firm orders for Boeing 787 Dreamliners to reflect fewer 787-8 models and more of the larger 787-9 models. The original order was for 15 787-8s and 22 787-9s, which has been changed to 11 787-8 models and an increase to 26 of the 787-9 models. The delivery schedule has been revised to see the last 787-8 model delivered in November 2015, with the first of the larger -9 models to be delivered in July 2015, and a total of five by the end of 2015.

Air Canada’s fourth Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner (C-GHPV) was delivered on Oct. 3. It is the first Air Canada 787 built on the Charleston, S.C., production line. The first three were built on the original Everett, Wash., production line. The aircraft is seen here on its first revenue flight from Toronto to Montreal on Oct. 5. Air Canada will receive two more 787-8s by the end of 2014, bringing the total in service to six aircraft.
