Pratt & Whitney Canada engine operators in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) can now benefit from faster response time and closer access to a large pool of rental engines in the vicinity of the Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in Germany.
The recently opened warehouse will offer an available pool of more than 100 rental engines from across P&WC’s extensive portfolio of engine families, ranging from turboprops to turboshafts and turbofans. “Frankfurt Airport was selected as the site for this new warehouse because it is a major travel hub for Europe, the Middle East and Africa,” says Jackie Khougaz, commercial services and support, customer service. “We decided to strategically locate a portion of rental engines pool into one facility to offer customers in the EMEA a faster response time, by enhancing availability in the region and to minimize downtime. The new European warehouse will also benefit our Fleet Management Program (FMP) customers who have rental engine options.”
P&WC currently has a pool of more than 850 P&WC rental engines – the largest in the industry. The engines are available on short-term notice to operators who want to continue flying their aircraft while their existing P&WC engines are undergoing maintenance off-wing within our service network.
P&WC rental engines are shipped to any location in the world on a 24/7 basis. In addition to the new warehouse in Germany, P&WC’s facilities in North America, Brazil and Singapore also hold rental engines that are closely aligned with operators’ requirements in the region. Rental quotes are available by accessing P&WC’s online engine availability/reservation system.
P&WC’s engine rental offering is part of a diverse menu of value-added services from P&WC’s Tailored Engine Solutions (TES). TES provides made-to-measure engine solutions such as exchanges, rentals and spare engines.
