Hard on the heels of a top ranking by MoneySense Magazine earlier this fall, the WestJet RBC World Elite MasterCard and the WestJet RBC MasterCard received top marks once again, this time in Canada’s Top Travel Rewards Credit Card category by Rewards Canada.

RewardsCanada.ca polled Canadians this fall to determine the best of the best in a field populated by more than 75 travel reward credit cards available in Canada.  In the Top Airline Credit/ Charge Card category, the WestJet RBC World Elite MasterCard ranked number one, with the WestJet RBC MasterCard coming in at a close second.
“WestJet and RBC have invested a lot of resources to carefully design and execute a high value, transparent credit card program that aligns with the brand experience we promise our guests,” said Bob Cummings, WestJet’s executive vice-president, sales, marketing and guest experience. “The WestJet RBC World Elite MasterCard and WestJet RBC MasterCard as part of our simple and straightforward WestJet Rewards program, serve to help our guests collect and redeem in ways that are easy, flexible and tailored to the consumer. Receiving the number-one and number-two ranking in our category tells us that we have provided the public with the kind of service, experience and value they have come to expect from WestJet, RBC and MasterCard.”
The number-one-ranked WestJet RBC World Elite MasterCard allows cardholders to earn WestJet dollars for every purchase made that can be redeemed in any amount, to anywhere WestJet flies, at any time.  The card also offers a welcome bonus of $250 WestJet dollars and an annual companion flight for $99, plus applicable taxes, fees and charges.
For a limited time, cardholders of the WestJet RBC World Elite MasterCard and the WestJet RBC MasterCard have even more reasons to celebrate with an exclusive opportunity to earn double WestJet dollars in return for using their card to buy WestJet flights or vacation packages this fall. Cardholders could earn up to 6.5 per cent back in WestJet dollars when travelling with WestJet until Dec. 15, 2013.
