Lockheed Martin to host live Twitter chat with F-35 pilot Billie Flynn

Lockheed Martin is hosting a live Twitter chat with F-35 Test Pilot Billie Flynn on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. EDT/11 a.m. PDT. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about F-35 capabilities and get a pilot’s perspective of the aircraft.
 
Lockheed Martin will collect questions tweeted to @LockheedMartin, @thef35 or @BillieFlynn with the hashtag #LMChat now through Aug. 8. Follow the #LMChat hashtag on Aug. 8 to participate and join the conversation with Billie.
 
Billie Flynn is a senior experimental test pilot for Lockheed Martin for the F-35 and F-16 programs. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 23 years and flew the CF-18 Hornet operationally in both Canada and Germany. In 2008, Billie was inducted as a Fellow in the Society of Experimental Test Pilots and served as the organization’s president from 2010-2011. He has more than 5,000 flight hours in more than 80 different aircraft.
 
The F-35 Lightning II is a 5th generation fighter, combining advanced stealth with fighter speed and agility, fully fused sensor information, network-enabled operations and advanced sustainment. Three distinct variants of the F-35 will replace the A-10 and F-16 for the U.S. Air Force, the F/A-18 for the U.S. Navy, the F/A-18 and AV-8B Harrier for the U.S. Marine Corps, and a variety of fighters for at least 10 other countries.
