Investment at the North Peace Regional Airport

Bob Zimmer, Member of Parliament for Prince George-Peace River, on behalf of the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, has announced an investment of $349,558 for the replacement of a snow plow truck and a wet/dry de-icing spreader at the North Peace Regional Airport.
This equipment will help ensure continued safe airport operations for passengers, employees and medical evacuations through the timely and effective removal of snow, slush and ice from runways and taxiways.
Funding is provided by Transport Canada’s Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).
Quick Facts
To date, through ACAP, the North Peace Regional Airport has received over $14.3 million in funding for 12 safety projects, including this announcement.
Previous projects included the rehabilitation of Taxiways A and B and, the apron, the rehabilitation of pavement on Runway 11-29 and the replacement of a self-propelled snowblower and two runway sweepers.
Since the program started, the Government of Canada has invested more than $650 million for 789 projects at 174 airports across the country.
