Indonesian FTO raising flight training standards and professional aviation training
MONTREAL, March 22, 2012 Mechtronix Systems Inc., an MWC company, a world leading manufacturer of Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD), today announced the sale of a Full Flight Trainer™ (FFT™) for delivery to Indonesian Civil Aviation Institute (ICAI)/Sekolah Tinggi Penerbangan Indonesia (STPI) Curug, the National Flight Training Organization (FTO) / Government Flying School that belongs to the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.
Configured as a Piper Warrior III, the cost-effective platform will provide high-fidelity VFR and IR training to Pilots, Engineers, and Aviation Management who are often recruited by local airlines like Lion Air and Garuda on completion of their training curriculum.
The simulator acquisition will support the recent fleet expansion of the long-established FTO. ICAI/ STPI Curug will be seeking to obtain Indonesia DGCA Level 5 qualification after installation of the unit in their facilities near Jakarta in the course of 2012.

The FFT™ replicates the single engine piston fixed-gear Piper Warrior III. It provides superior visual scene fidelity and realism via a Full Flight Simulator-quality image generator from RSI. It is equipped with classic instruments and a wide multi-channel visual display system. The highly flexible device is also fitted with a user friendly instructor station and Jeppesen Navigation Database.
