CASP Aerospace signs reseller agreement for Emergency Vision Assurance System

CASP Aerospace Press Release | January 6, 2023

CASP Aerospace is proud to announce an addition to its already extensive product roster of aircraft safety and life support equipment, through a recent agreement with VisionSafe, as a reseller of its Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS®).

EVAS is a fully self-contained visibility unit that ensures a pilot’s safe and continuous vision in the event of a smoke in the cockpit emergency. During an inflight smoke in the cockpit emergency, EVAS provides emergency backup allowing the pilot to see and fly the aircraft to a safe landing, by providing a clear vision of basic instruments and flight path. It displaces all smoke in the vision path – regardless of density – by drawing in smoke then filtering it to a 0.3 micron and filling the customized Inflatable Vision Unit (IVU) with clean air. The IVU inflates with one lobe above and one below the glareshield. The whole process takes about 30-60 seconds. It’s simple. EVAS can save lives in seconds.

Statistics from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Service Difficulty Reports clearly show that in-flight fires, smoke, or fumes are some of the most significant causes of unscheduled or emergency landings and account for, on average, one precautionary landing per day. An increase in smoke density can reduce a pilot’s visibility to zero. EVAS provides the solution to blinding smoke in the cockpit and a simple and cost-effective way to offer protection on any flight.

“We are delighted with this recent agreement with VisionSafe. Adding EVAS as an exciting new addition to our product lines, allows CASP to continue to provide more accessible and affordable safety options to our customers, and ultimately their passengers,” said Abdel Basset Sebei, Sales & Business Development Manager at CASP Aerospace.

Recommended by the FAA and other aviation authorities, EVAS is lightweight and compact, and its self-contained power supply means it is independent of aircraft power. EVAS is covered by a comprehensive 10-Year Warranty.
