DAC International, a subsidiary of Aero Precision Holdings LP, announced that it has received Transport Canada Part 25 Approved Model List (AML) supplemental type certificate for the Esterline CMA-6800 display for the Hawker 800/800XP, Bombardier Challenger 601-3A/3R, Bombardier CL-215-6B11, Dash 8-100/200/300, Cessna Citation 650, Dassault Falcon 900, and the Gulfstream III.
“The product provides our customers with an easy cost effective display that eliminates the obsolescence associated with aging CRTs,” said DAC International’s president Cisco Hernandez. “We believe the CMA-6800 offers our customers a simple replacement solution for the legacy ED-800s on many of the above platforms worldwide. This will save substantial weight thus reducing operating costs and further extending the life of their existing cockpits.”
The CMA-6800 electronic display system was designed as a modern form, fit, function replacement to the legacy Honeywell ED-800 cathode ray tube (CRT) displays. The STC number is SA17-27.
