New Honeywell Authorized Service Center in Asia Pacific
Las Vegas, Nevada¦October 9, 2011¦ Dallas Airmotive, a BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group (ERO) company, will open a new Honeywell authorized engine service center in Asia Pacific in February 2012. The facility will offer line maintenance and Major Periodic Inspection (MPI) service on Honeywell TFE731 turbofan engines and line maintenance on CFE738 and HTF7000 engines and GTCP 36, RE100 and RE220 APU series.
All indications are that the timing is right for establishing an engine service facility in the Asia Pacific region, commented Hugh McElroy, President of BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul Group. The agreement between Honeywell and Dallas Airmotive is indicative of both companies commitment to serving this high growth market and making it easier for customers to receive the critical support they need.
The service center will be located at Singapore Seletar Airport on the Jet Aviation property. It will be headed by general manager Francis Lee, a Singapore native and veteran of 25 years in the aviation engine MRO business. Francis has the contacts and experience to help us bring the service center up to speed on day one, continued McElroy. We also have on site engineering support led by Nit Subramaniam, ERO director of engineering for Honeywell programs along with some of our most experienced Honeywell qualified technicians to ensure that everything is done right.
In addition to the Singapore service center, Dallas Airmotive has regional field service teams in Bangalore, Hong Kong, and Eastern Australia available 24/7 to answer service needs of the regions operators. Asia Pacific mobile response services are handled through Dallas Airmotive F1RST SUPPORT global support center in Dallas, Texas. We plan to add a satellite F1RST SUPPORT operation in Singapore in the near future, stated McElroy, so that the needs of Asia Pacific customers can be handled from within the region and in the most expeditious manner possible.
Dallas Airmotive is exhibiting at NBAA 2011 at BBA Aviation Booth #3900. Additional information can be found on the company websites at www.BBAAviationERO.com.
