Hope Air is the national charity that provides Canadians in financial need with free travel to medical care far from home.

The Outstanding Philanthropist Award is presented to an ATAC member who has shown exemplary commitment to ensuring equal access to medical care for patients in need across the country. It celebrates their philanthropic leadership, which plays a key role in bridging the gap between home and life-saving care for so many Canadians.

Harbour Air Seaplanes is North America’s largest seaplane airline. For over a decade, they have generously provided free flights to Hope Air to enable  patients to travel for vital medical appointments far from their home communities.

“Harbour Air Seaplanes is a long-standing and very generous airline partner,” said Hope Air chief executive officer Doug Keller-Hobson. “For over a decade, they have been a great champion for our cause and helped many people living in B.C. access the vital medical care they deserve. We are very grateful for their support.”

The award was accepted by Eric Scott, vice-president of flight operations and safety at Harbour Air.

“We are incredibly proud of the longstanding partnership with Hope Air,” Scott said. “It’s an honour to be able to support the work of this incredible organization and be able to make a difference for families in our communities, at a time when they need it most.”
