Manitoba Aviation Council Press Release | February 2, 2023

Hundreds of Canadians will gather in Winnipeg to meet with employers seeking employees in aviation careers, hear from government regulators about the latest changes, and learn about a wide variety of aviation initiatives as part of the annual Manitoba Aviation Conference, held by the Manitoba Aviation Council.

The Manitoba Aviation Council is a non-profit organization that promotes, facilitates and protects all facets of Manitoba Aviation. Its members include representatives from general aviation, air operators/carriers, airports and those who service, maintain and repair aircraft, and professional and support service providers to the aviation industry.

The conference brings together industry leaders, managers, suppliers, and aircraft operators across Manitoba and northwestern Ontario at Manitoba’s most significant aviation event. The conference includes a day-long career fair, open to everyone; a pilots’ annual refresher session; two days of informative sessions presented by representatives of government agencies and subject experts; and a reception and banquet to honour deserving members of the aviation community.

The Manitoba Aviation Council is proud to support the future of Manitoba aviation. With the shortage of highly trained pilots and aircraft maintenance engineers, 12 of its members have offered scholarships for those pursuing careers in aviation. These scholarships will be presented at the banquet on Tuesday evening.
