TrainingPort.net training meets new CAR 604 requirements

TrainingPort.net Press Release | July 7, 2016

TrainingPort.net announced that it offers training that is fully compliant with the new Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR) 604 standard  from Transport Canada  for business aircraft operations.
CAR 604 came into force May 29, 2014, with an exemption now expiring on November 30, 2016. The regulations cover all aspects of a private aircraft operation, including aircraft maintenance, cabin safety, flight operations, and safety management systems.
The new regulations place additional training requirements on Canadian business aircraft operators, as well as increasing the training frequencies for a number of required topics.
TrainingPort.net has created an illustrated table that compares recurrent training for an identical Canadian operator across three Canadian regulatory environments: POC BAOSS, CAR 704 (Commercial), and CAR 604 (Private Operator) applicable to business aviation operators over the past decade. The topics needed for each regulatory environment are listed, as well as the prescribed training periodicity.
TrainingPort.net is making its research available to all Canadian business aviation operators affected by these regulatory changes at the Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) Convention in Calgary, Alta., July 5 to 7.
Flight attendant training
TrainingPort.net also announced it is partnering with Sterling Aviation Services Inc. to offer comprehensive online training for flight attendants employed on private and commercially operated business aircraft.
TrainingPort.net’s “New Heights: Flight Attendant Training” includes lessons on first aid, emergency procedures, emergency equipment, policies and procedures, and evacuation requirements. All material is compliant with Transport Canada regulations.
All-inclusive flight attendant training has become necessary for business aircraft operated privately and commercially. “New Heights” differs from other programs by combining TrainingPort.net’s extensive online training expertise with Sterling Aviation’s inflight experience to provide flight attendants with the tools they need to provide superior onboard services.
Following completion of the online training program, trainees will receive hands-on training with Sterling Aviation that will ensure they are fully prepared for a new career providing high quality business aviation inflight service.
Visit the TrainingPort.net booth (No. 47) at the CBAA Convention in Calgary July 7 to learn more about this and other comprehensive business aviation training programs for pilots, flight attendants, maintenance personnel, ground handlers, and schedulers/dispatchers.
