Alta Precision, a Québec-based aerospace leader, is proud to announce it has been awarded a contract from Brazilian leading OEM Embraer for the manufacturing of two main landing gear components for its E-Jet series of narrow body airliners “E2” generation.

Under the terms of this long-term contract, Alta Precision will start to supply these key components of the Embraer E-Jets E2 main landing gear by March 2015. This important contract will require significant investment to expand Alta Precision’s current manufacturing sites in Montreal, Que., and welcome 15 additional skilled technicians to its talented workforce.

Attending the Farnborough International Airshow this week, Guillermo Alonso, president of Alta Precision, stated: “The signature of this important contract is aligned with Alta Precision’s complete focus on R&D, safety and quality. This is the result of strategic decisions taken several years ago to focus on becoming a world leader in supplying built to print landing gear systems. This announcement makes me very proud of what we have accomplished so far and what is yet to come. My team and I are excited to start working on this contract and deliver on-time cost-effective components of the highest quality to Embraer.”

Alta Precision’s success is rooted into a strong management team, a global reputation of excellence and a 100 per cent commitment to delivering competitive aerospace products in full compliance with the industry standards. Today, with numerous major contracts in the order book, Alta Precision is concluding another promising agreement with Embraer/ELEB Aerospace. Alta Precision is also grateful to Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), Quebec’s Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Export Trade (MEIE), and Emploi-Québec for their continuous support.
