FlightSafety International names Jon Pollack director, Business Development, Rotorcraft

FlightSafety International has announced that Jon Pollack has been named Director, Business Development, Rotorcraft.
“We look forward to Jon’s many contributions in his new role as Director, Business Development, Rotorcraft,” said David Davenport, Senior Vice President. “Jon will work to develop and establish training programs and locations designed to meet the current and future requirements of helicopter manufacturers and the pilots, maintenance technicians, and other aviation professionals who operate and support helicopters around the world.”
Pollack first joined the company in 1982 working at the FlightSafety Academy in Vero Beach, Florida. He transitioned to the West Palm Beach Learning Center where he held a number of positions including Product Marketing Manager and Director of Training. Pollack was later promoted to Manager of the company’s Learning Center in Toronto, Canada prior to serving at FlightSafety Boeing as Director of Operations for the Boeing Business Jet training program. 
He left the company in 2000 to work with an electronic records and scheduling management firm and was also involved in web content development and delivery. Pollack returned in 2006 to establish and serve as Manager of FlightSafety’s E-Learning operation.  
Pollack was most recently Director, Courseware Support. He was responsible for the design, development and distribution of classroom and online training materials used throughout the company’s network of Learning Centers. Pollack is an ATP rated helicopter and fixed wing aircraft pilot.
FlightSafety provides training for helicopters manufactured by Airbus, AgustaWestland, Bell Helicopter, and Sikorsky, as well as mission specific programs for other aircraft types. Training is offered in Dallas, Texas; the Farnborough Airport, United Kingdom; Lafayette, Louisiana; Stavanger, Norway; and West Palm Beach, Florida. It will also be available in Sao Paulo, Brazil later this year.
