IMP Aerospace Technical Publications was recently selected for two significant S1000D Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) projects.
IMP Aerospace Technical Publications was selected by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company as the source for Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP) for the C-130J Hercules. This IETP business represents an integral project within the execution of the Air Capability Program – Tactical Industrial Regional Benefits commitment.
This multi-year, state-of-the-art technical publications program includes:
  • Conversion and development of a leading-edge S1000D-compliant IETP for the C-130J
  • Sustainment of the C-130J IETP over the contracted conversion period
IMP Aerospace Technical Publications has also been selected by the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) under their existing CP140 Optimized Weapons System Support (OWSS) contract to convert the CP140 Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) to a leading edge S1000D compliant IETP .
“The knowledge developed through our many years of providing Publications Management Services to the Canadian Department of National Defence has provided us the ability to leverage our capabilities into the broader national and international markets,” states Tom Galley, IMP Aerospace’s executive vice president and COO.   “Our skills and expertise at technical publication conversion programs will enable us to enhance both the CP140 and C-130J user experiences.  We are pleased to be working with Lockheed Martin on a high quality S1000D compliant IETP that will be used to support the C-130J.”
“As a long-time provider of services for Lockheed Martin products, IMP is a natural partner in providing technical support for Canada’s CC-130J Super Hercules fleet,” said Kathleen Atkins, director of direct commercial sales for C-130 programs, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. “Together, Lockheed Martin and IMP offer Canada critical services that position the CC-130J fleet and crews for ongoing mission success.”
