Porter Airlines is flying with the world’s best airlines, according to Condé Nast Traveler’s 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards. Porter is the smallest carrier on the list, securing ninth place among 20 global airlines.

“Porter has been recognized in the international airlines category of Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards alongside the best-of-the-best. Our team is the main reason we have been able to sustain this level of service year after year,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “This year is especially memorable with our home base, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, voted as the fourth best international airport. This goes to show that when you fly Porter, you’re getting world-class service every step of the way.”

Porter emphasizes overall service, providing complimentary amenities, including lounge access, beer, wine and snacks for all passengers.

“This award comes just ahead of our 10th birthday, and we remain as committed to providing passengers with the key benefits they love about Porter as we were 10 years ago,” added Deluce.

In related news, Condé Nast also named Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport fourth worldwide in the Condé Nast Traveler 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards. Ranking only behind Singapore (SIN), Seoul, South Korea (ICN), and Doha, Qatar (DOH), Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ) was the only airport in Canada to be recognized in the category.

From our excellent customer service, to the award-winning airlines that fly from our airport to more than 20 destinations, to amenities such as the pedestrian tunnel, shuttle service, full-service lounges, proximity to downtown and shorter lines, our airport is recognized as a world-class facility by the 2.5 million passengers who travel through our doors each year and as an important international gateway for the city of Toronto.”

“Billy Bishop Airport plays a significant role in Toronto as a key economic driver, an important piece of transportation infrastructure and a provider of jobs,” said Mayor John Tory, City of Toronto. “Ranked alongside airports in Singapore, Hong Kong and Zurich, Billy Bishop Airport is seen as a world-class facility that fuels businesses, facilitates tourism and offers connectivity to all of those who come, go and stay in the world-class city of Toronto. I offer my congratulations to Billy Bishop Airport on this impressive ranking.”
