TrainingPort.net has announced the release of its first ever marshalling topic, tailor-made for ground handlers, pilots, and maintenance personnel. With this new addition, TrainingPort.net significantly expands its training offering for ground handlers.
Marshalling involves one-on-one visual communication, and is an important part of aircraft ground handling. It is defined as “visual signaling between ground personnel and pilots”. An FBO ramp can be a busy and confusing place. A trained ground handler is vital; they work in conjunction with the pilot to minimize the risk of potential damage caused by aircraft movement on a tight ramp.
Through the use of enhanced graphics and visuals, TrainingPort.net’s marshalling topic describes the safety measures and signals involved in marshalling aircraft upon arrival and departure.
