The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association is hosting a celebration of life for aviation journalist Eric Dumigan Sept. 23, 2023, at the Tillsonburg Airport in southern Ontario.
Dumigan was deeply respected in Canada’s aviation community and was a frequent contributor to Skies as a photographer and writer. He passed away suddenly in September 2021.
In October 2021, Skies established the Eric Dumigan Wings of Warbirds Award in his memory, as part of the annual Skies Photo Contest.
Dumigan was recognized as one of Canada’s best aviation photographers, and was particularly well-known for his warbird and general aviation photography.
“Aviation photography is my passion, and seldom a day goes by when I’m not taking photos,” he said in our 2021 issue of Chasing the Shot, which showcased his phenomenal photography. “I truly look at life through a camera lens.”
The celebration of life will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with light refreshments provided. Visitors are asked to RSVP here, or via email to bernilabarre@gmail.com
