The Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) is urging members to submit concerns about Transport Canada’s updated flight duty time and fatigue management regulations.

Transport Canada (TC) has released several updates to the regulations, including a preliminary issue and consultation assessment (PICA) addressing previously-submitted concerns from the CBAA and other aviation stakeholders, the association said.

“The PICA acknowledges these concerns and expresses TC’s commitment to collaborate with industry stakeholders to address them effectively,” the CBAA said in a statement to its members.

“This consultation process marks the initial step in gathering insights to shape future actions. TC will analyze feedback to identify key themes and focus areas, potentially leading to the establishment of focus groups, working groups and the publication of issue papers. Stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback on the paper’s presented issues and any other areas of concern.

“Of particular interest to TC are insights on operational aspects, proposed solutions and potential risk mitigations.”

Stakeholders can submit feedback or concerns by email to Transport Canada by May 20, 2024. CBAA members can also send input to the association before May 13, 2024.
