David Rushton joins FlightSafety as commercial marketing manager, visual simulation systems

FlightSafety International has announced that David Rushton has joined the company as commercial marketing manager, visual simulation systems.
We are pleased to welcome David to the FlightSafety team. He brings more than 25 years of experience in visual systems for the flight simulator industry, said Jon Hester, general manager, visual simulation systems. Dave is highly respected in the visual simulation industry for his in-depth understanding of customer needs, market trends, and his ability to identify and create longstanding relationships.
Rushton’s main responsibilities are to identify and pursue new business opportunities for FlightSafety’s visual simulation systems among commercial airlines. This includes developing and promoting products and services that meet the current and future needs of this important segment and extend FlightSafety’s visual simulation business worldwide.
Having David join FlightSafety demonstrates our increased focus on the global commercial airline sector, said Rick Armstrong, vice president, simulation. Our current and prospective customers will appreciate and benefit from David’s experience, expertise, and commitment to outstanding service.
David has served in various management positions within the visual simulation industry since 1989. They include general manager of the commercial visual business unit for Evans & Sutherland, senior management positions with Hughes Rediffusion Simulation, and director commercial business development for Rockwell Collins. David joins FlightSafety from VDC, where he was vice president, business development. He was responsible for the pursuit of visual display systems business for commercial, military, and entertainment applications. In addition to his extensive business related experience, David also holds a master’s degree in business administration from The Open University in the United Kingdom.
