Bombardier applauded the outstanding performance of 24 operators and suppliers in ceremonies held during the company 2011 CRJ Series Operators’ Conference and Trade Show, which took place in Toronto from May 2-5, 2011. Winners of Bombardier fourth annual Airline Performance Reliability Awards and its second annual In-Service Supplier Top Achievement Recognition (STAR) Awards were announced at separate evening events on May 2 and May 3, respectively.

Outstanding performance in airline operations is a matter of collaboration, and we at Bombardier are extremely proud of the exemplary cooperation between our customers and suppliers, said Todd Young, Vice President, Customer Services and Support, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. The winners of the 2011 Airline Performance Reliability Awards and In-Service STAR Awards have absolutely achieved world-class performance over the past year.

Bombardier Airline Reliability Performance Awards are presented each year to operators of CRJ Series and Q-Series aircraft in recognition of outstanding dispatch reliability. Each winner must have succeeded in delivering an average dispatch reliability rate of 99 per cent or better on revenue passenger flights in 2010, and the highest dispatch reliability performance in their respective product class and region. Nineteen airlines were named winners of the Bombardier Commercial Aircraft 2011 Airline Reliability Performance Awards. The winners are listed in Appendix A.

Five suppliers were honoured with the In-Service STAR Awards for excellence in providing support to Bombardier customers based on their overall performance, as measured by Bombardier In-Service Supplier Scorecard in 2010. To be considered for this award, a supplier must have scored at least 85 per cent in areas deemed most important by Bombardier customers. Measures include in-service performance relative to product performance, including reliability and cost, airline support focused on logistics support, and customer focus. This year, Bombardier introduced a new award category – Most Improved Supplier. The addition of this award recognizes the level of commitment suppliers demonstrate in improving overall customer support levels.

The winners of the Bombardier Commercial Aircraft 2011 In-Service STAR Awards are listed in Appendix B.
