On June 14, 2018, the show’s static display will host a very special 73-year-old visitor.

In partnership with the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum (CWHM), Skies Magazine is thrilled to present Lancaster VR-A–affectionately known as “Vera”–on display for one day only at CBAA 2018.*

Show attendees will have the chance to tour inside the Lancaster (one of only two airworthy examples in the world), and speak with the CWHM crew during the static display hours on June 14.

Skies Magazine is the largest and most-read publication dedicated to telling the story of Canadian aviation.

As an industry, our collective history includes many tales of triumph in the face of overwhelming obstacles. There may be no better reminder of our tenacity than the Avro Lancaster, the most famous Allied bomber of the Second World War.

Don’t miss your chance to pay your respects to Vera. She’ll be at the Skies booth at the 2018 CBAA Convention and Exhibition on June 14.

*Vera flies when the weather is fine. Her attendance at the show is therefore dependent on Mother Nature.

  1. You and your team always know how to hit the ball out of the park, and this is a shining example. It is such a great idea and certainly demonstrates your belief in your tag line!

  2. Good morning
I was wondering if there are any plans to fly Vera to Vancouver Island?
My dad who is 95 had a brother Earnest Millington who was a wing commander of Lancasters and did 38 missions as PIC. He has always wanted to see the aircraft his brother flew and kind of connect with it. So if there is a chance of making this happen it would be great to know.
    Thank you for your time.
    Safe flying
    Cheers
    Kathie Golletz
