CAE announced a series of exciting initiatives at the 2017 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Upset prevention and recovery training

CAE announced at the 2017 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) that it has completed the instructor station updates on all 36 of its European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approved full-flight simulators in five different training locations with the necessary instructor tools for the next phase of upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT).

CAE’s full-flight simulators have been updated with instructor tools to monitor pilots’ technique and ability to recover from upsets at high altitude within the aircraft’s performance envelope.

“The customer feedback on our UPRT program has been tremendous,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s group president, Civil Aviation Training Solutions.

“With this next phase of recovery training, we felt it was important to give our instructors optimized tools to continue to provide the best training in the world to our customers. In fact, we received excellent reviews by some of our key large fleet operator customers, such as TAG Aviation, Luxaviation, Gama Aviation, Global Jet and Elit’Avia.”

Last year at EBACE, CAE announced the launch of its business aviation upset prevention and recovery training program with the first phase focusing on prevention.

This year marks the transition to the next phase for CAE with the addition of recovery training.

Business aviation pilot training program with Elit’Avia

CAE also announced its continued and growing relationship with Elit’Avia, with whom it has signed an exclusive 4-year pilot training program.

The customized training program will feature classroom software, distance learning, a tablet application for course materials and pre-study tools. CAE will also extend its business aviation pilot training program to include the latest UPRT module.

“Elit’Avia has experienced significant growth over the years. We recently added a new Gulfstream G650 to our fleet and CAE has been a tremendous training partner, supporting our growing needs and delivering high-quality training,” said Puja Mahajan, CEO, Elit’Avia.

“As our exclusive our partner of choice, CAE is providing excellent customized training programs for 14 of our different aircraft types, including models for Bombardier, Gulfstream, Dassault and Hawker. They have been providing an exceptional training experience and we are looking forward to the next four years.”

“We are particularly pleased with the extension of this training program to include the UPRT, it is a testament to CAE’s ability to provide its customers with global customized pilot training programs and complementary training solutions tailored to their specific needs,” said Leontidis.

“We’re honored to be selected as Elit’Avia’s exclusive training partner and we look forward to support their growing training needs long into the future.”

Training will continue to be conducted in five locations of CAE’s global training network, including Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Burgess Hill, United Kingdom; Dallas, Texas; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and Morristown, N.J.
